Atelier: write with your world beside you

Most writing tools know nothing about your story. Your characters live in one app, your lore in another and the manuscript in a third, so every small check means switching windows and losing focus. Atelier is built inside ForgeTales, and that changes how writing feels: your characters, wiki entries and events share the same workspace as your manuscript.

The integration is dynamic, not decorative. Atelier detects mentions of your characters and lore in the text as you write, links them to their sheets and keeps everything one glance away. You write with your world beside you, not buried under a pile of tabs.

The home screen tells you where your novel stands: total words, a progress bar toward the target you set, and a daily activity map with streaks, active days and average words per document. Small numbers that help build the writing habit.

The binder on the left holds the whole project: parts, chapters and scenes in the order your book will have, with research and notes alongside. Everything is a document, everything can be reordered and nothing gets lost.

Every document tracks its own state: draft, revising, final or stuck. Switch a folder to the kanban view and your manuscript becomes an honest picture of the work: what is finished, what needs another pass and what has been stuck for weeks.

Word counts add up per chapter, per part and per book, so the question of how much is left always has a real answer.

Atelier measures the manuscript while you write it. Readability scoring calibrated to your language, vocabulary diversity and sentence length distribution: the numbers that explain why a chapter drags or flows, available per document and for the whole book.

The mention analytics go further. A presence map shows which characters appear in each chapter and who disappears for chapters at a time. Plot coverage tells you how many of your planned events have actually made it into the manuscript, so you always know how much story is still unwritten.

And next to the prose, scene notes: quick intentions attached to each chapter, with the characters, wiki entries and events mentioned in that scene one click away.

When the draft is ready, Compile turns it into a book: EPUB, PDF or DOCX, with literary styles, drop caps, small-caps openings and chapter ornaments, previewed page by page before you export.

The result is a file you can send to an editor, load on an e-reader or print, produced entirely on your machine, on Windows, macOS or Linux. No cloud round trip: your manuscript never leaves your device.
